This half term in Reception has been full of lots of fun! Our topic of ‘Amazing Animals' has taken us on a journey to a farm and exploring the great outdoors.
Some learning highlights include:-
- Finding out about farm animals and writing facts.
- Discovering where food comes from.
- Painting animals
-Writing clues for people to read and guess the animal from the clue!
- Making butter and tasting it on bread.
A trip to ‘South Angle Farm’ was a firm favourite with the children.
After the excitement of a short coach trip, the children spent the day holding various animals, climbing on the outdoor equipment and enjoying a picnic together.
The below comment from one of the children sums up how much the child loved their first school trip.
“That was the best day ever.”
